China visa checker: what does your passport get you?
Choose your passport and get a first-pass answer for the 30-day direct-entry policy, the 240-hour transit policy, or a selected mutual exemption agreement.
Check your passport
This is a planning tool, not a visa decision. Airline and border staff apply the current official notice, so open the source link before you fly.
What the 30-day policy means
Passport holders on the unilateral list can enter mainland China directly for up to 30 days for the purposes named in the official notice. It is not the same as a bilateral exemption, and the policy has its own end date and conditions.
What 240-hour transit means
The transit policy is for a genuine onward journey to a different country or region. You need the eligible passport, a confirmed onward ticket, an eligible port and a stay inside the permitted area.
